I Guess That’s Why They Call Them ‘Dirt Bikes’!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
As of today we are well over our
minimum commitment
of $25,000  for the Birthing Hut program.
But we still need your help to reach
$50,000 target.
Remember: We’re covering all our costs,
so 100% of your tax-receiptable donations
will help save the lives
of mothers and newborns in Sierra Leone.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!t

I had the great privilege of travelling by dirt bike around Sierra Leone in 2008 with CAUSE Canada’s Founder, Paul Carrick, to visit CC projects and conduct a strategic planning session with CC staff in the Northern part of the country. The slower bikers got the dirtiest, which tells you where I was in the pack! To get a preview of some of the places Bernie, Jon and I will visit check out the new Gallery tab on this website. We’ve posted some pictures from the 2008 trip. The Gallery is also where we will post shots from the Tour de Sierra Leone.

Other New Stuff:
·       We’ve posted a map and write-up of some of the people and places we will visit along the way. Check out: “Pit Stops: Fascinating People and Places along the root of the Tour de Sierra Leone”
·       Sierra Leone is an amazing place with a totally unique history. Have a look at “Sierra Leone Backgrounder: The first African-American Hero was a Canadian, and He Founded Sierra Leone!”
·       Cheer Us On! tab. When the going gets tough, it will be great to know you are “with” us. Post a message now at the Cheer Us On tab. We’d love to hear from you!

We’ll be riding in less than one week from today!!
